Download your roll number slip by CNIC from the website of the body running your test. NTS, PPSC, FPSC and ETEA each post slips on their own site, about one to two weeks before the test. You print the slip and bring it with your original CNIC.

No body posts the slip to you any more. You download it yourself. This guide covers all four bodies, step by step.

Roll Number Slip at a Glance#

Body Where the slip appears You search with When
NTS List of Candidates on nts.org.pk, under Written Test (Roll No Slip) CNIC with dashes + captcha code Usually 1-2 weeks before the test
PPSC Your candidate account on ppsc.gop.pk CNIC + token number Before the test; the date is in the notice
FPSC Admission certificates on fpsc.gov.pk CNIC + tracking ID Before the test; the date is in the notice
ETEA Roll Numbers on etea.edu.pk + portal account CNIC, by project code 1-2 weeks before the test

What Is a Roll Number Slip?#

A roll number slip is your entry document for a written test. It carries your roll number, your name and photo, the post, the test date, the reporting time and the test centre address.

Each body calls it something different. FPSC calls it an admission certificate. Some bodies call it a call letter or admit card. The document is the same. Without it and your original CNIC, you cannot enter the test hall.

The slip comes from the body that runs the test, never from the department hiring you. NTS, PPSC, FPSC and ETEA each post slips on their own website. Our how-to-apply guide explains which body covers which jobs.

How to Download Your NTS Roll Number Slip#

Download your NTS slip from the List of Candidates page on nts.org.pk. There is no single slip page. Each project has its own search page.

  1. Open nts.org.pk and click LIST OF CANDIDATES. The page is at nts.org.pk/new/candidates.php.
  2. Stay on the Written Test (Roll No Slip) tab. It is the first tab on the page.
  3. Find your project and click Details. Match the project name and test date with your advertisement.
  4. Enter your CNIC in the format shown, with dashes. For example 11111-1111111-1.
  5. Enter the captcha code. Type the digits shown in the image beside the field.
  6. Click Search, then download and print your slip.

NTS sends an SMS when slips are ready. Do not wait for the SMS. NTS says delivery depends on your network and coverage, and it takes no responsibility for a late or missing SMS. Check the website yourself.

Use a mobile number that has not been ported. NTS sends the slip alert by SMS, and SMS on ported numbers is restricted. If business SMS is blocked on your number, send Unreg to 3627 to unblock it.

If a detail on your slip is wrong, raise it early. NTS entertains queries only until 7 days before the project’s first test day.

Our NTS apply guide explains registration and the fee. Our NTS result guide explains how to check your result after the test.

How to Download Your PPSC Roll Number Slip#

Download your PPSC slip from your candidate account on ppsc.gop.pk. PPSC does not post a public slip list. Your slip is in your account.

  1. Open ppsc.gop.pk and click Apply Online.
  2. Open your application. Use your CNIC, application number and token number.
  3. Download your roll number slip from the account.
  4. Print it and check every detail.

PPSC uploads the slip before the test. The exact date is in the test notice and in the SMS PPSC sends you. Do not wait until the last evening. On the final night after 8 PM the PPSC server gets hammered with traffic and pages time out.

If you lost your application number or token number, open the Apply Online menu and click Recover Token / Application Number. Enter your CNIC and date of birth to get them back on screen.

Our PPSC apply guide explains the profile, the form and the fee. Our PPSC result guide explains how to check your result after the test.

How to Download Your FPSC Admission Certificate#

FPSC calls the slip an admission certificate. Download it from fpsc.gov.pk with your CNIC and tracking ID.

  1. Open fpsc.gov.pk and find your advertisement.
  2. Open the admission certificate link for your post.
  3. Enter your CNIC and tracking ID.
  4. Download and print the certificate.

FPSC sends an SMS or email alert to the number and address in your application. FPSC sends nothing by post. Its instructions say no information in this regard shall be sent through post.

Keep your tracking ID safe. FPSC gives it to you right after you submit your application. Without it, you cannot download your admission certificate.

Our FPSC apply guide explains the two-step form and the fee. Our FPSC results guide explains how to check your result after the test.

How to Download Your ETEA Roll Number Slip#

Download your ETEA slip from the Roll Numbers section on etea.edu.pk, or from your account on the ETEA portal. ETEA posts slips 1-2 weeks before the test and sends an SMS when your slip is ready.

  1. Open etea.edu.pk and open Roll Numbers.
  2. Find your project by its code. ETEA uses the project code on slips, results and merit lists.
  3. Enter your CNIC and download your slip. Or sign in to your account on etea.online and download it there.
  4. Print it and check every detail.

ETEA sends no call letter by post. The test date, time and venue appear only on the slip.

Our ETEA apply guide explains registration, the e-Sahulat verification and the fee.

When Do Roll Number Slips Come Out?#

Slips usually appear about one to two weeks before the test. The exact date is set by the body running your test. Check its website and the SMS it sends you. Do not trust a fixed date from a third-party site.

Check early. These sites slow down badly near test day. Download and print your slip as soon as it is announced, not the night before.

What to Check on Your Slip#

Check every detail the moment you download the slip. A wrong detail on test day can cost you the test.

  • Your name and photo. They must match your CNIC.
  • Your roll number. This is the number you will use to check your result.
  • The post and project code. They must match the post you applied for.
  • The test date and reporting time. Report at the time on the slip.
  • The test centre name and address. Find the centre a day before the test.

If any detail is wrong, contact the body the same day. Most bodies take corrections only until a few days before the test. NTS stops entertaining queries 7 days before the project’s first test day.

What to Do If Your Slip Is Not Issued#

A missing slip usually has one of five causes. Check them in this order.

  • Fee not matched. A slip is issued only for a paid, submitted application. Check your application status. If the fee did not match your application, the slip will not appear. Our PSID guide explains how the fee payment works.
  • Wrong CNIC format. Enter your CNIC exactly as on your card. If the search fails, try it with dashes and without dashes. NTS shows the format it wants on the search page: 11111-1111111-1.
  • Slips not released yet. Check the date in the notice. If slips for your post are not out yet, nothing will show. Wait for the SMS or the website notice.
  • Wrong project. Testing bodies run dozens of projects at once. Match the project code on your deposit slip or application. On NTS, each project has its own search page.
  • Site down. Try early in the morning. The sites slow down badly near test day.

If none of that works, call the body’s helpline with your CNIC and application or token number ready. Keep your fee receipt. ETEA asks you to keep the original paid slip.

What to Bring on Test Day#

Bring the printed slip and your original CNIC. Every body wants both.

  • Your printed roll number slip. Print two copies. Keep one spare.
  • Your original CNIC. A photocopy does not work. A passport works where the body says so.
  • ETEA candidates under 18. Bring your original B-Form and your SSC certificate with a photo.
  • A blue or black ball pen. NTS asks you to shade the circles with a blue or black ball pen only.

Leave your phone at home. FPSC, PPSC, NTS and ETEA all ban phones in the hall. FPSC goes furthest. A candidate caught with a phone is permanently debarred and the CNIC goes on a block list.

Report at the time on your slip. NTS admits no candidate after the specified time.

Mistakes That Cost Candidates Their Test#

  • Waiting until the last night to download the slip. The sites slow down and pages time out.
  • Trusting a slip link sent by a stranger on WhatsApp. Open the official site yourself and find your project there.
  • Downloading from a look-alike site. ntslogin.pk is not NTS. The official portal is nts.org.pk only. Our fake job ad check guide explains how to spot look-alike sites.
  • Searching by name on a third-party site. The official portals search by CNIC, not by name. A third-party site cannot give you a real slip.
  • Giving a ported mobile number. The SMS alert may never reach you. Use a number that has not been ported.
  • Taking a phone into the hall. Phones, Bluetooth devices and smart watches are banned. Anyone found with one is disqualified.

Frequently Asked Questions#

How can I download my roll number slip by CNIC?

Open the website of the body running your test, find your project or advertisement, open the roll number slip link and enter your CNIC. NTS: List of Candidates on nts.org.pk. PPSC: your candidate account on ppsc.gop.pk. FPSC: admission certificates on fpsc.gov.pk. ETEA: Roll Numbers on etea.edu.pk.

What should I do if my roll number slip is not issued?

Check the fee first. A slip is issued only for a paid, submitted application. Then check the CNIC format, the release date in the notice, and the project code. Try early in the morning if the site is down. If none of that works, call the body’s helpline with your CNIC and application or token number ready, and keep your fee receipt.

Can I search my roll number slip by name?

No. The official portals search by CNIC, not by name. NTS lets overseas applicants search by passport number. Do not use a third-party site that offers a slip by name. It cannot give you a real slip.

Will my roll number slip come by post?

No. Not from NTS, PPSC, FPSC or ETEA. You download it yourself from the body’s website and print it. FPSC says plainly that no information in this regard shall be sent through post.

Can I enter the test with the slip on my phone?

Do not count on it. The bodies ask for a printed slip, and phones are banned in the hall. Print your slip before test day and bring it with your original CNIC.
