Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates must meet the specific eligibility criteria for each post as detailed in the advertisement. Generally, qualifications range from BDS to postgraduate degrees like MDS, D.Sc, Ph.D, and M.Phil, along with relevant teaching or demonstrator experience in recognized institutions.

Associate Professor Positions (BPS-19)

A minimum of 5 research papers published in a standard dental/medical journal while working as Assistant Professor is also required.

Assistant Professor Positions (BPS-18)

For Assistant Professor roles, candidates generally need BDS or equivalent dental qualifications recognized by PMDC with postgraduate qualifications (MDS, D.Sc, Ph.D, M.Phil). Teaching experience and original research work are preferred. Alternative criteria include BDS with minor diploma qualifications and 3 years of demonstrator experience, or BDS with 10 years of demonstrator experience and 3 research papers.

Demonstrator Position (BPS-17)

Applicants for Demonstrator must hold a BDS or equivalent qualification in Dentistry approved and registered by the PMDC.

Important Instructions

• Applicants must have a domicile of the Province of Punjab.
• Appointments are on a contract basis for three years and do not guarantee regularization.
• Age and experience will be calculated as of the last date of application submission. Age relaxation will be as per Punjab Government policy.
