What Jobs Does PPSC Advertise?#
PPSC recruits for Punjab government posts. Most posts are BS-14 and above, such as lecturers, junior clerks, sub-inspectors and tehsildars. PPSC advertises them with a case number, for example 33-RD/2026 for Charge Nurse.
PPSC is the Punjab commission only. FPSC is federal, SPSC is Sindh, KPPSC is Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and BPSC is Balochistan. Each commission has its own website and its own application system. Our how-to-apply guide explains the full picture across all commissions.
Pakistan PPSC is ppsc.gop.pk. Indian PPSC is ppsc.gov.in, a different body. Type the address yourself and check for .gop.pk.
How to Make a PPSC Profile#
There is no separate sign-up page. Your CNIC is your identity. Your profile is built while you apply: you enter your CNIC, verify your email and mobile number, fill in your personal details and save. That is your PPSC profile.
After you submit, PPSC sends you an application number and a token number by email and SMS. Keep both. You need them to edit your application, to download your roll number slip and to check your result.
If you lose them, open the Apply Online menu and click Recover Token / Application Number. Enter your CNIC and date of birth to get them back on screen.
What You Need Before You Start#
Keep these ready before you open the form. A missing image or an unverified number in the middle of the application costs time.
- Your CNIC. 13 digits. A wrong CNIC cannot be corrected later. You would need a new application with the correct CNIC.
- An email address and a mobile number you can verify. PPSC sends verification codes to both. Use a non-ported SIM. PPSC sends your application PIN, edit token and test alerts by SMS, and ported SIMs may not receive them.
- A recent photograph. Passport-size, white background, JPG, under 25 KB.
- A clear front image of your CNIC. JPG, under 25 KB.
- Your domicile district. Select your domicile district, not the city where you live. If you live in Lahore for study but your domicile is Narowal, select Narowal.
- Your degree and DMC details. The form asks for your qualifications with result dates.
- Your experience dates. Exact dates for each job you claim.
- Your disability status, if it applies. Persons with disabilities are exempt from the fee.
You do not upload your degrees or domicile with the form. Only the photo and the CNIC front image are uploaded. PPSC asks shortlisted candidates for documents after the written result. Our domicile certificate guide tells you how to get your domicile if you do not have one yet.
How to Apply for PPSC Jobs Online: The 8 Steps#
Read the Important Instructions and the EPay User Manual on the PPSC website before you begin. Then follow these steps.
- Open ppsc.gop.pk. Click Apply Online.
- Select your post. Pick the advertisement and the post by its case number. Read the eligibility rules for the post. A wrong case number sends your application to the wrong vacancy, and it cannot be changed after submission.
- Tick the undertaking and enter your CNIC. Enter your 13-digit CNIC number.
- Verify your email and mobile number. Enter both, then enter the codes PPSC sends you.
- Fill in your personal details. Enter your date of birth, gender, domicile district, employment status and disability status, then save.
- Pay the fee. The system generates a 17-digit PSID. Pay it through a 1Link channel or the GoPb option (see below).
- Upload your images. Upload your recent photograph and the front image of your CNIC. Each must be under 25 KB.
- Review and submit. Check every field, tick the undertaking and press Submit. Save your application number and token number.

PPSC Fee: How Much and How to Pay#
| Test type | Fee |
|---|---|
| One-paper MCQ test | Rs 600 |
| Competitive examination (PMS) | Rs 1,000 |
| Persons with disabilities | Exempt (no fee) |
Each post needs its own PSID. Your CNIC stays the same for every post. The fee is paid per post, so check the test type in the advertisement before you pay.
The old PPSC challan form 32-A is not accepted. Bank drafts, pay orders and cheques are not accepted either. Pay the PSID through 1Link only.
Our PSID guide explains the PSID system in full, including how to pay through Easypaisa and JazzCash.
How to Pay the PPSC Fee Through PSID#
Pay your 17-digit PSID through any 1Link channel, under the Government of Punjab (GoPb) payments option. These channels work:
- ATM. Any ATM of a 1Link member bank.
- Mobile banking app. Your bank’s app, or JazzCash, Easypaisa or UPaisa through the 1Link option.
- Internet banking. Your bank’s online banking portal.
- Bank branch. Any branch of a 1Link member bank, over the counter.
Your fee status updates to Paid automatically once the payment clears. Pay before the closing date. Do not wait until the last evening. On the final night after 8 PM the PPSC server gets hammered with traffic and pages time out. Apply two or three days before the deadline.

After You Submit#
Save your application number and token number. PPSC sends both to your email and SMS right after submission. You need them to edit your application and to download your roll number slip.
You can edit before the closing date. Use the Edit Application link with your CNIC, application number and token number. You can edit your personal information, qualification sets and service record, as many times as you like, until midnight on the closing date. After that, no edits are allowed. The post and case number cannot be changed at any time.
Your roll number slip comes later. PPSC uploads the slip before the test. You download it with your CNIC and token number. Our PPSC result guide explains how to check your result after the test.
Age rules still apply. PPSC posts have age limits with relaxation for men, women and special categories. Our age relaxation guide covers the Punjab rules.
FPSC works differently. The federal commission uses a 16-digit PSID, charges by grade and lets you edit only once. Our FPSC apply guide covers that process.
Mistakes That Get PPSC Applications Rejected#
- Wrong CNIC. A wrong CNIC cannot be corrected. You need a new application with the correct CNIC.
- Wrong case number. The post cannot be changed after submission. Check the case number in the advertisement before you submit.
- Residence city instead of domicile district. Select your domicile district. Your study city does not count.
- Images over 25 KB. The photo and the CNIC front image must each be under 25 KB. Compress them before you start.
- Waiting until the last evening. The server times out after 8 PM on the final night. Apply early.
- A ported SIM. PPSC sends your PIN, token and test alerts by SMS. A ported number may not receive them.
- Paying with an old challan. Challan form 32-A, bank drafts, pay orders and cheques are not accepted. Use the PSID through 1Link.
