NTS vs PPSC and FPSC: A Different Kind of Result
[03]NTS is a testing body, not a commission. It conducts tests for many organisations: universities, NAVTTC, government departments and private employers. PPSC and FPSC are commissions that recruit for their own posts.
The result is different too. PPSC and FPSC publish PDF merit lists that you search by roll number. NTS gives you an individual result card with your marks. You open your test, enter your CNIC or roll number, and your own card appears. Our PPSC result guide and FPSC results guide cover the commission side.
How to Check NTS Result by Roll Number
[04]NTS results are checked one test at a time. Make sure you pick the right test and the right date before you enter your details.
- Open www.nts.org.pk. Type the address yourself. Do not follow a result link from an SMS or a social media post.
- Open Results & Answer Keys. The page lists every test with its result announced.
- Find your test. Find your test by name and test date, for example NAT 2026-X or GAT General 2026-VII, and click Details.
- Enter your CNIC or roll number. Enter the number as asked. Enter your CNIC without dashes, or your roll number exactly as it appears on your slip.
- View or download your result card. Your result card appears on screen. Download it as a PDF and print a copy.

NAT vs GAT vs Job Tests: Which One Is Yours?
[05]| Test | For | Validity |
|---|---|---|
| NAT (National Aptitude Test) | Admissions in NTS-associated universities / DAIs | 1 year |
| GAT General | MS / MPhil admissions | 2 years |
| GAT Subject | PhD admissions | 2 years |
| Job tests | Government and private jobs, and NAVTTC programmes | As stated in the advertisement |
NAT is for university admissions. NAT tests are held monthly. Universities ask for a copy of your NTS result card with your admission form. Apply to each university as per its own announcement.

GAT is for postgraduate admissions. GAT General is for MS and MPhil admissions. GAT Subject is for PhD admissions. Both stay valid for 2 years.
Recent NTS Results
[06]These are the most recent NTS results, checked on 4 November 2026. Your test’s result appears on the same Results & Answer Keys page when it is announced.
| Test | Test date | Result |
|---|---|---|
| NAT 2026-X | 11-10-2026 | Announced |
| GAT General 2026-VII | 11-10-2026 | Announced |
| GAT Subject 2026-V | 13-09-2026 | Announced 21-09-2026 |
| GAT General III 2026 | 10-05-2026 | Announced 19-05-2026 |
NTS announces results test by test. There is no single NTS result date. Check the Results & Answer Keys page for your own test and date.
What to Do With Your Result Card
[07]Keep the result card. For NAT and GAT, universities ask for a copy of your NTS result card with your admission form. Download the PDF and keep it safe. A screenshot is not a substitute.
Check the validity period. A NAT result is valid for 1 year. A GAT result is valid for 2 years. Do not let it expire before you apply.
Apply to each university separately. NTS does not admit you. Each university has its own announcement and its own closing date. Our how to apply guide covers the application steps for government jobs.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
[08]- Using a third-party result site. Do not use “NTS result” sites that ask for payment or personal details. Results are free on the official website, nts.org.pk.
- Selecting the wrong test. NAT 2026-X and NAT 2026-IX are different tests. Check the test name and date on your roll number slip before you search.
- Entering the wrong number. Enter your CNIC without dashes, or your roll number exactly as it appears on your slip. A single wrong digit gives a false “not found”.
- Giving up when the site is slow. The NTS website gets heavy traffic right after a result announcement. Wait a few minutes and try again through the official website.
- Losing your result card. Download the PDF the day your result comes out. The card is your proof of marks for admissions and jobs.
Frequently Asked Questions
[09]How can I check my NTS result by roll number?
Open www.nts.org.pk and go to Results & Answer Keys. Find your test by name and test date, click Details, and enter your CNIC or roll number as asked. Your result card appears on screen. Download it as a PDF and print a copy.
What is the difference between NAT and GAT?
NAT (National Aptitude Test) is for admissions in NTS-associated universities and degree awarding institutes. GAT (Graduate Assessment Test) is for postgraduate admissions: GAT General for MS and MPhil, GAT Subject for PhD. NAT is valid for 1 year; GAT is valid for 2 years.
How long is my NTS result valid?
A NAT result is valid for 1 year. A GAT General or GAT Subject result is valid for 2 years. Job test results are valid as stated in the advertisement for that job.
What if my NTS result is not showing?
First check that you selected the right test name and date, and that you entered your CNIC without dashes or your roll number exactly as it appears on your slip. If the website is slow after an announcement, wait a few minutes and try again. If it is still not there, your test’s result may not be announced yet.
Where do I get my NTS roll number slip?
Roll number slips are available on the NTS online Registration Portal at nts.org.pk. Register once, log in, and download your slip. Bring the printed slip plus your original CNIC to the test centre.
Checked on 4 November 2026. NTS announces results test by test on nts.org.pk; check the Results & Answer Keys page for your own test before relying on any other site.
