The B-Form is NADRA’s Child Registration Certificate (CRC) for children under 18. The fee is Rs 50 for normal processing (7 days) or Rs 500 for executive processing (1 day). There is no urgent category. You can apply online in the PakID app only if your child is up to one year old. Older children must apply at a NADRA Registration Centre.
You need the computerised birth certificate from the Union Council first. NADRA will not issue a B-Form without it. Parents must apply within 30 days of the birth under the NADRA Ordinance 2000.

What Is the B-Form?#
The B-Form is the Child Registration Certificate (CRC). NADRA issues it to Pakistani citizens under 18, under Rule 18 of the NADRA (NIC) Rules, 2002. It is a child’s first registration in NADRA’s database. It proves the child’s identity and the link to the parents or legal guardian.
Every Pakistani child under 18 whose parent holds a valid CNIC or NICOP is eligible. One parent is enough to apply: either parent, or a legal guardian with a guardianship certificate, can apply. Adopted children need a guardianship certificate from the Guardian court. If the father is a foreign national, the CRC can be issued on the mother’s identity, with supporting documents.
Who Needs a B-Form?#
Your child needs a B-Form for a passport. NADRA says a valid CRC with a picture, or a Juvenile Card, is required for a passport for anyone under 18. BISP asks for B-Forms of all children when you register. Matric candidates need a B-Form for their board registration.
Children with a CRC appear in your NADRA family tree, which is what a Family Registration Certificate (FRC) shows. Without a birth certificate, no B-Form can be issued. Our birth certificate guide explains how to get the Union Council certificate first. Our documents checklist explains the documents government jobs ask for, including the B-Form.
B-Form Fee 2026#
NADRA’s fee structure page lists two categories for the CRC. There is no urgent category. Fees can change, so check the fee page before you pay, and keep your receipt.
| Category | Fee | Processing time |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | Rs 50 | 7 days |
| Executive | Rs 500 | 1 day |
| Urgent | Not available | None |
If a guide quotes Rs 1,150 or Rs 2,150 for a B-Form, it is showing NADRA’s old fee structure. NADRA revised the CRC fees in 2026. The current figures are Rs 50 and Rs 500. In the app, NADRA accepts Visa or Mastercard cards and Raast. One NADRA FAQ says CRC fees can also be paid through e-Sahulat, Easypaisa and JazzCash, but NADRA’s payment page lists those three for Smart NIC and FRC only. If a wallet does not accept your tracking ID, use a card or Raast.
How to Apply for a B-Form Online (PakID App)#
The PakID app is the official online route, but only for a fresh B-Form for a child up to one year old. NADRA’s PakID FAQ lists “Issuance of Fresh CRC for children up to one-year age” among the app’s services. If your child is older than that, the app is not the route for a fresh B-Form. You must apply at a NADRA Registration Centre.
- Download the PakID app. It is listed as “Pak Identity” in the app stores. Install it only from the store links on nadra.gov.pk.
- Log in to your PakID account, or create one.
- Go to Family and select CRC or B-form.
- Choose Myself or My Blood Relatives.
- Select Normal or Executive.
- Tap Start Application. Check the prefilled details and add the child’s missing details.
- Verify the parents’ details. Enter disability details if needed.
- Capture or upload the child’s photograph, and fingerprints where required.
- Verify one parent’s fingerprints.
- Upload the documents, mainly the Union Council birth certificate.
- Review, submit and pay.
The CRC is then downloaded as a PDF and appears in the ID Vault in the app once processing is complete. There is no courier for an app CRC. The timeline starts after you pay. Track it in the app under Tracking, with your tracking ID and PIN.

How to Apply at a NADRA Registration Centre#
For a child over one year old, apply at a NADRA Registration Centre. Use Find Nearest NRC on nadra.gov.pk to find a centre. Take the birth certificate and your CNIC.
- Take a token and wait for the one window counter.
- Biometric verification of the parent.
- Photographs and/or fingerprints of the child, where required.
- Your data is fetched or entered, then reviewed with you.
- Attestation by a parent, sibling, guardian or a gazetted officer.
- Interview and approval by the officer in charge.
- Pay the fee, then collect the printed CRC after the processing time for your category.
If a blood relative (father, mother, brother or sister) or spouse is not there to give fingerprints, the form is printed for attestation and you bring it back to the same centre. Keep your receipt. The CRC is printed and handed over at the centre after processing. Parents overseas can apply at a NADRA centre abroad, a Pakistani mission, or in the PakID app.
Documents Required for a B-Form#
Bring originals. All details must match official records. The main document is the computerised birth certificate. Without it, NADRA cannot issue the B-Form.
| Document | Notes |
|---|---|
| Computerised birth certificate | From the Union Council, Municipal Committee or Cantonment, for a birth in Pakistan |
| Detailed birth certificate or S-1 form | For a child born abroad |
| Parent’s valid CNIC or NICOP | Original; either parent can apply |
| Marriage recorded with NADRA | If the parents’ marriage is not updated in NADRA’s record, update it first |
| Guardianship certificate | Only for adopted children, from the Guardian court |
Biometrics by Age: Does My Child Need to Go?#
It depends on age. A child above 3 years must be present, because a photo and iris scan are taken from age 3 and fingerprints from age 10.
| Child’s age | What NADRA captures | Child must be present? |
|---|---|---|
| Under 3 | No biometrics | Only if the CRC is for a passport |
| 3 to 10 | Photograph and iris scan | Yes |
| 10 to 18 | Photograph, fingerprints and iris scan | Yes |
The B-Form Expires at 3, 10 and 18#
A CRC expires when the child turns 3, 10 and 18. The child then needs a new one with a photo (from 3) and fingerprints and iris (from 10). At 18, the child applies for a CNIC. Renew at a NADRA office or through the PakID app.
A child can also get a Juvenile Card instead, even without a CRC. NADRA lists the Juvenile Card as expiring at 10 and 18. Our domicile guide explains the next identity document your child will need.

How to Fix a Mistake in a B-Form#
Most errors can be fixed by applying for a modification at any NADRA Registration Centre or in the PakID app, with supporting documents. If the date of birth does not match the Union Council certificate, correct the birth certificate first. NADRA then updates the CRC.
If there are duplicate CRC records, one record must be cancelled before NADRA processes a Juvenile Card. A wrong father’s name or child’s name can be corrected when converting the CRC to a Juvenile Card, with supporting documents. A CRC reprint is available through PakID and at a NADRA Registration Centre.
Beware of Agents and Fake B-Form Websites#
Apply only in the PakID app or at a NADRA centre. Any website outside nadra.gov.pk is not an official NADRA website. NADRA has no authorised agents or consultants. Nobody can “make a B-Form from home” for extra cash.
Pay only Rs 50 or Rs 500 through official channels. Never share an OTP or your PakID password. Report anyone who demands extra money at complaints.nadra.gov.pk, on the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal, or by calling 1777. Our fake ads guide explains how to spot a fake government service and where to report it.
Mistakes to Avoid#
- Going to NADRA before the birth certificate. Get the Union Council certificate first. NADRA will not issue a B-Form without it.
- Using the app for an older child. The PakID app issues a fresh B-Form only for a child up to one year old. Older children apply at a centre.
- Paying an old fee. The current fee is Rs 50 normal or Rs 500 executive. Guides quoting Rs 1,150 or Rs 2,150 show NADRA’s old fee structure.
- Trusting an agent or a random website. Apply only in the PakID app or at a NADRA centre. NADRA has no authorised agents.
- Forgetting the expiry ages. The B-Form expires at 3, 10 and 18. Renew it before you need it for a passport or board registration.
Frequently Asked Questions#
How do I apply for a B-Form online?
If your child is up to one year old, use NADRA’s PakID app. Log in, open Family, choose CRC or B-form, pick Normal or Executive, add the child’s details, verify one parent’s fingerprints, upload the Union Council birth certificate and pay. For an older child, you must apply at a NADRA Registration Centre.
What documents are needed for a B-Form?
NADRA asks for the computerised birth registration certificate from the Union Council, Municipal Committee or Cantonment. For a child born abroad, it accepts a detailed foreign birth certificate or an S-1 form. A parent also needs a valid CNIC or NICOP, and the parents’ marriage must already be recorded in NADRA’s database.
What is the NADRA fee for a B-Form?
As of October 2026, NADRA’s fee page lists the CRC at Rs 50 in the Normal category, with a 7 day timeline, and Rs 500 in the Executive category, with a 1 day timeline. There is no Urgent option. Fees can change, so check nadra.gov.pk before you pay and keep your receipt.
Does my child need to go to the NADRA office?
It depends on age. A child above 3 years must be present, because a photo and iris scan are taken from age 3 and fingerprints from age 10. A child under 3 only needs to come if the B-Form is being made for a passport. One parent or a legal guardian applies.
How do I correct a mistake in a B-Form?
Apply for a modification at any NADRA Registration Centre or in the PakID app, with supporting documents. If the date of birth differs from the Union Council certificate, you must first correct the birth certificate, and NADRA then updates the CRC record to match.
