Eligibility and Qualifications

Professor of Radiotherapy (BPS-20)

Applicants for Professor of Radiotherapy must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by PMDC/PMC, AND FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty from an institute or university recognized by PMDC/PMC.
• Alternative Qualification (if above not available): MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by PMDC/PMC, AND FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery or Medicine, whichever is relevant to the respective specialty) or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by PMDC/PMC with three years’ post-graduation practical experience in the respective specialty from a recognized Institute.
• Experience: Three years of teaching experience as Associate Professor or an equivalent position recognized by PMDC. The total teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor must not be less than 8 years or 9 years as Assistant Professor in a recognized institution.
• Research: At least 5 research papers published in a standard medical journal while working as Assistant/Associate Professor.
• Age Limit: Male: 35 to 55 years, Female: 35 to 58 years.

Associate Professor of Radiotherapy (BPS-19)

Applicants for Associate Professor of Radiotherapy must meet the following criteria:

• Education: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by PMDC/PMC, AND FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty from an institute or university recognized by PMDC/PMC.
• Alternative Qualification (if above not available): MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by PMDC/PMC, AND FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery or Medicine, whichever is relevant to the respective specialty) or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by PMDC/PMC with three years’ post-graduation practical experience in the respective specialty from a recognized Institute.
• Experience: Five years of teaching experience in the specialty in a recognized institution as Assistant Professor or an equivalent position recognized by PMDC.
• Research: At least 3 research papers published in a standard medical journal.

Assistant Professor of Radiotherapy (BPS-18)

• Any incomplete documentation may lead to the rejection of the application.
• Appointments will be made on a Contract Basis under the ‘Contract Appointment Policy 2004’ (amended till date) & ‘Recruitment Policy, 2022’ for an initial period of three (03) years, extendable subject to good performance.
