The Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology Sargodha is looking to fill the following positions:

• Finance Director (IPS-10)
• Medical Director (IPS-11)

Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates must meet the specific eligibility criteria for each position as detailed below:

1. Finance Director

Applicants for Finance Director must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field and possess significant experience in financial management.

• Educational Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (Finance) from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • Professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CMA, CPA, or CFA will be preferred.
• Professional Experience:
  • Minimum 05 years of post-qualification experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing, preferably in the public sector, healthcare sector, or an autonomous body.
  • At least 03 years of experience in a senior financial leadership position, such as Director Finance, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Head of Finance Department, or 05 years of experience as Deputy Treasurer, Deputy Director Finance etc.
• Age Limit: 40 to 55 years.

2. Medical Director

Candidates for Medical Director are required to have an MBBS degree along with specialized postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience in a clinical leadership role.

• Educational Qualifications:
  • MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification from an institution or University recognized by PM&DC/PMC.
  • F.C.P.S (Cardiology/Cardiac surgery) or M.D. / M.S. (Cardiology / Cardiac surgery), FRCS, Membership or Fellowship of a Royal College (UK), Diplomate of the American Board or any equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant specialty recognized/registered by the PMDC/PMC.
• Professional Experience:
  • Minimum Ten (10) years of post-fellowship experience in a recognized healthcare institution.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a clinical leadership role such as Medical Director, Head of Department, or an equivalent position.
  • At least ten (10) research publications in standard medical journals approved by HEC/PM&DC or internationally indexed medical journals in the relevant specialty.
• Age Limit: 40 to 65 years.

General Eligibility Criteria

• Only candidates holding domicile of Punjab are eligible to apply.
• Government servants must apply through proper channel.
• Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must provide an equivalence certificate issued by Higher Education Commission (HEC) or PMDC (erstwhile PMC).
• Failure to provide the equivalence certificate at the time of interview (or when required) will result in cancellation of candidature.

Age Relaxation Policy

General age relaxation in the upper age limit will be admissible as per Government of Punjab policy.

Selection Process

• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview.

Terms & Conditions of Appointment

• The advertised positions are on a lump-sum contract basis.
• Appointment is subject to verification of educational degrees and experience certificates (cost to be borne by the candidate).
• Institutional practice will be allowed as per NSIC regulations; however, private practice outside the institute is not permitted.
• The Competent Authority reserves the right to cancel, increase, or decrease the number of posts at any stage without assigning any reason.
