Teller (OG-III / OG-II)

The Teller is responsible for managing cash operations and providing direct customer services. Key responsibilities include:

• Receiving cash from Branch Operations Manager/Supervisor, recording denominations, and requesting additional cash.
• Providing account services by receiving deposits and withdrawals.
• Facilitating remittances, utility bill collections, and government receipts/payments.
• Ensuring effective vault management and holding of cash keys.
• Forwarding cheques for authorization and disbursement.
• Counting and sorting cash as per SBP directives, matching deposit slip details, and processing customer accounts.
• Receiving, checking, and processing funds transfer and ATM-related transactions.
• Handling customer requests for currency notes exchange and guiding customers.
• Maintaining high customer service standards and managing complaints.
• Balancing and sorting cash, preparing cash books, and posting cash transactions.
• Cross-selling bank products and referring customers to managers.
• Ensuring availability and disbursement of fresh cash.
• Balancing and reconciling sorted/unsorted/defective currency notes.
• Identifying and reporting unusual/suspicious cash flow activity.
• Reconciling and balancing GL Accounts related to cash.
• Maintaining all files, registers, and documentation for daily cash operations.
• Ensuring sufficient ATM replenishment and uninterrupted functionality.
• Addressing audit requirements and observations related to cash management.
• Ensuring compliance with Banking Laws, Regulations, and SOPs, including Shariah Compliance.
• Performing any other assigned tasks.

Applicants for Teller must hold a minimum Graduation degree with at least 1 year of relevant banking experience.

• Education: Minimum Graduation or equivalent from an HEC-recognized university/college. Master's degree, Islamic Banking certification/degree, or diploma will be preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant banking experience.
• Skills: Sound knowledge of SBP Prudential Regulations (PRs) regarding Cash Management, good understanding of branch banking operations, good communication and customer-handling skills, excellent cash-handling skills, good team player, and proficiency in MS Office suite.
