Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates applying for these Ministry of Railways Jobs 2026 must meet the following criteria:

Individual Legal Consultant

• Education: LL.B. from an HEC-recognized university.
• Licence: Valid Advocate High Court licence/enrolment.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-enrolment legal experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in legal drafting, vetting, and research.
• Specific Experience: Experience in NAB matters/trials/bail, Special Courts, labour/industrial relations, civil litigation, tribunals, and High Courts.

Senior Individual Legal Consultant

• Education: LL.B. from an HEC-recognized university.
• Licence: Valid Advocate High Court licence with at least 15 years’ standing.
• Experience: At least 20 years of continuous litigation practice.
• Court Standing: Right of audience before the Supreme Court.
• Membership: Current recognized Bar membership.
• Prior Role: Previous experience as a Legal Advisor in a public/semi-government body.
• Specific Experience: Expertise in service/disciplinary, land/property/regulatory disputes, and contract drafting/vetting.

Important Instructions

• An individual consultant may submit a proposal for one or both positions; however, a single consultant shall not be awarded both positions. Each position will be evaluated separately.
• The procurement process will adhere to the applicable PPRA framework, including the Public Procurement Rules, 2026, and the Procurement of Consultancy Services Regulations.
• The Ministry reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, or to cancel the procurement, in accordance with applicable law, rules, and the RFP.
• Submission of forged/false documents or misrepresentation will lead to action under applicable law and procurement rules.
