FPSC CSS Result 2026 — Written Result & Final Result

The FPSC CSS 2026 written result is out. 476 candidates passed out of 24,321 applicants, a pass rate of 2.74%. Check your roll number in Annex-A of the result notice on www.fpsc.gov.pk. The final result is not yet announced.

This page explains the CSS 2026 written result numbers, how to check your roll number, the withheld results, and when the final result comes.

CSS is not one exam. It is six stages, and the result is announced stage by stage.

1. MPT. The MCQs-Based Preliminary Test. A screening test before the written exam. 36,758 candidates passed the MPT 2026.
2. Written exam. Compulsory and optional papers, held 4–15 February 2026. 476 candidates passed.
3. Medical examination. Qualified candidates are examined medically. The schedule comes later.
4. Psychological assessment. A separate assessment after the medical examination.
5. Viva voce. The interview. The final stage of assessment.
6. Final merit and allocation. The final result is prepared from combined marks (written + interview). Successful candidates are allocated to occupational groups.

FPSC publishes the CSS written result as a PDF notice with the qualified candidates in Annex-A. There is no roll-number search box. You open the PDF and search inside it.

1. Open www.fpsc.gov.pk. Type the address yourself. Do not follow a result link from an SMS or a social media post.
2. Find the CSS Written Result 2026 notice. It is the press release dated 31 August 2026, “Result – Written Competitive Examination (CSS) 2026”.
3. Open Annex-A. Annex-A is the list of qualified candidates, by roll number.
4. Search your roll number. Press Ctrl + F on a computer, or use the search bar on your phone, and type your roll number.
5. Save the PDF. Download the notice and keep a copy. The list can be hard to find again once new notices are uploaded.

The written exam was held 4–15 February 2026. The result was announced 31 August 2026, about six and a half months later.

FPSC announced the withheld written results of 505 CSS CE-2026 candidates on 18 September 2026, in notice F.2/23/2026-CE. Only 2 roll numbers qualified (Annex-A). 503 did not (Annex-B).

The results were withheld because of ineligibility under the CSS Competitive Examination Rules, 2019. An ineligible candidate has the candidature cancelled under Rule 11(20), whether or not they appeared in or qualified the written examination.

Even a qualified roll number only means the written part was passed, subject to eligibility scrutiny. A candidate who fails to establish eligibility is not allowed in the medical examination, psychological assessment or viva voce, and the final result stays withheld.

The CSS 2026 final result is not yet announced. It comes after the medical examination, psychological assessment and viva voce are complete. As of 4 November 2026, FPSC has not announced a date for it.

Final selection depends on combined marks (written + interview). The final merit list ranks the candidates who cleared all stages, and successful candidates are then allocated to occupational groups such as the Pakistan Administrative Service and the Police Service.

Do not trust a “CSS final result” list on any site other than fpsc.gov.pk. If it is not on FPSC, it is not confirmed. Our FPSC results guide covers all FPSC results, including how merit lists work.

FPSC issues a CSS DMC for candidates who did not clear the written examination. Check it online with your CNIC number. It shows your subject-wise scores in compulsory and optional papers, so you can see where your attempt went wrong.

The next CSS cycle, CE-2027, is already underway. The MPT was held on 10 October 2026. The advertisement is expected on 8 November 2026, applications run 10–25 November 2026, and the written exam starts from 27 January 2027 (tentative). The fee is Rs 250. • Expecting a search box. The CSS written result is a PDF list of roll numbers, not a search page. Open Annex-A and press Ctrl + F.
• Trusting a fake final result. The final result is not yet announced. Any site claiming a final merit list for CSS 2026 today is lying.
• Confusing MPT with the written exam. Passing the MPT only lets you sit the written exam. It is not the CSS result.
• Paying anyone for your result. FPSC publishes results on its website only. A site or person asking for money to check or change your result is a scam.
• Ignoring eligibility. Even a pass can be cancelled if you are ineligible under the 2019 rules. Check your eligibility before the next stage.
