Professor (BPS-20) Psychiatry

The Professor (BPS-20) in Psychiatry will be responsible for teaching, research, and academic leadership within the Psychiatry department at the University of Health Sciences Lahore, on a contract basis.

• Conduct advanced research and publish findings in relevant journals.
• Provide high-quality teaching and mentorship to students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic administration.

Applicants for Professor (BPS-20) in Psychiatry must meet the following criteria:

• Basic Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification fully recognized/registered by the PM&DC.
• Post Graduate Qualification: PM&DC level III Qualification in the respective subject like F.C.P.S/M.S/M.D OR other equivalent Level III qualifications in the specialty approved by SRC and recognized/registered by the PM&DC.
• Experience: Three (03) years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor in the respective subject is essential, provided that total experience as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor is not less than eight (08) years. OR Nine (09) years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the respective subject is essential.
• Research Publications: Six (06) research publications as Associate Professor are required in the relevant subject. A total of fifteen (15) research publications in the relevant subject, of which six (06) should be during the last three years.
• Additional Requirement: As per PMDC criteria, applicants must have at least a level-IIa diploma or certificate of six months duration in Medical Education from a recognized University.
