Eligibility Criteria

Prospective candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the Civilian Medical Officer position:

• Qualification: MBBS/FCPS will be preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 01 year of house job is required, with a preference for six months in Medicine/Surgery. Additional experience will be preferred.
• Age Limit: For civilian candidates, the age should be between 25 to 35 years. Retired Army Officers can apply up to 45 years of age. A general relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age limit is allowed on a case-to-case basis.
• Nationality: Applicants must be Pakistani citizens or from Azad Jammu Kashmir.
• Gender: Only male candidates are eligible to apply.

Ineligibility Conditions

Candidates will be considered ineligible if they:

• Have been discharged or released from any Government service on disciplinary grounds.
• Have been convicted by a Court of Law for an offense involving moral turpitude.

Terms and Conditions of Service

• Medical Officers may be appointed anywhere in Balochistan / Sindh Province, within the Pakistan Coast Guards’ area of responsibility.
• Pension and gratuity will not be admissible.
• Efficiency and Discipline Rules as enshrined in Esta Code 1973 will be applicable.
• One month’s advance notice will be required for termination of contract by either party, or payment of basic pay in lieu thereof.
• No postgraduate training or courses will be allowed during the contract period.
• The Official Secret Act, 1923, will be applicable.
