Job Overview

Eligibility and Qualifications

Applicants for the Flight Operations Inspector (Aeroplane) position with the Civil Aviation Authority must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Minimum Intermediate or equivalent qualification from a recognized Education Board.
• License: Must hold or have held an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a type rating on a Commercial Transport Aircraft with a Maximum Gross Takeoff Weight (MGTOW) of 40,000 kg or more.
• Flying Experience: Not less than 5000 hours as Pilot-in-Command of Commercial Air Transport Aircraft with MGTOW of 40,000 kg or more.
• Examiner Endorsement: Must possess a Synthetic Flight Examiner (SFE) or Type Rating Examiner (TRE) endorsement on an ATPL for commercial aircraft with a MGTOW of 40,000 kg or more.
• Pilot Experience: 10 years or more of experience in Commercial Air Transport Aircraft as a Pilot.
• Management Experience: Experience in operational management is a plus, preferably with a background in airline operations, safety management, or regulatory oversight.
• Skills: Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, effective communication and report-writing skills, and computer literacy are essential.

Important Instructions and Terms of Reference

• Applications that do not meet the specified requirements or are incomplete will not be considered.
• Tests and interviews will be conducted in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta. Separate notices will be issued for these, depending on the number of candidates.
• Candidates called for an interview must present original documents for verification.
• No Travel Allowance (TA) or Daily Allowance (DA) will be admissible for tests or interviews.
• Appointment is subject to meeting CAA’s medical fitness standards.
• Selected candidates may be required to serve anywhere in Pakistan as per PCAA’s requirements.
• Government servants or employees of autonomous bodies/corporations must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer before the interview.
• Applications received after the specified due date will not be considered or entertained.
• Providing misinformation or attempting to influence the selection process will lead to definite disqualification for current and future recruitment at CAA, even if the candidate is otherwise qualified.
• If any educational or other documents provided by applicants are found to be incorrect, fake, or bogus at any stage, the services of the selected candidate will be terminated immediately.
