Eligibility and Qualifications

Detailed eligibility criteria for each position are as follows:

Associate Professor (BS-20 / Regular)

• Medical Lab Technology (01 Post)
  • Ph.D. in Medical Lab Technology or equivalent from an HEC recognized institute/university.
  • Ten years’ teaching or research experience from a postgraduate institute/university recognized by HEC or professional experience in the relevant field in a national/international organization; OR five years’ post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience from a postgraduate institute/university recognized by HEC or professional experience in the relevant field in a national/international organization.
  • Ten research publications in HEC recognized journals, with four publications within the last five years.
• Management Sciences (01 Post)
  • Ph.D. in Management Sciences or equivalent from an HEC recognized institute/university.
  • Ten years’ teaching or research experience from a postgraduate institute/university recognized by HEC or professional experience in the relevant field in a national/international organization; OR five years’ post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience from a postgraduate institute/university recognized by HEC or professional experience in the relevant field in a national/international organization.
  • Ten research publications in HEC recognized journals, with four publications within the last five years.

Assistant Professor (BS-19 / Regular)

• Management Sciences (01 Post): Ph.D. in Management Sciences or equivalent from an HEC recognized institute/university.
• English (01 Post): Ph.D. in English or equivalent from an HEC recognized institute/university.
• Medical Lab Technology (01 Post): Ph.D. in Medical Lab Technology or equivalent from an HEC recognized institute/university.
• Computer Science & Information Technology (06 Posts): Ph.D. in Information Technology or Computing or equivalent from an HEC recognized institute/university.

Lecturer (BS-18 / Regular)

• Management Sciences (02 Posts): MS or M.Phil. (first division) in Management Sciences or equivalent from an HEC recognized institute/university. (Note: Candidates with a third division in their academic career may be eligible if they hold a Ph.D. in the relevant field and have not more than one third division in their entire academic career).
• English (01 Post): MS or M.Phil. (first division) in English or equivalent from an HEC recognized institute/university. Non-Teaching Positions

  • Ph.D. in Economics or Engineering or Management Sciences or equivalent with eight years’ post-qualification experience; OR
  • MS or M.Phil. in Economics or Engineering or Management Sciences or equivalent with ten years’ post-qualification experience; OR
  • Master’s degree or BS (four years) (second division) in Economics or Engineering or Management Sciences or equivalent with twelve years’ post-qualification experience.
• Deputy Director (Academics) (BS-18) (01 Post)
  • MS or M.Phil. or equivalent with three years’ post-qualification teaching or administrative experience from a public or private HEC recognized institute/university; OR
  • Master’s degree (second division) or equivalent with five years’ post-qualification teaching or administrative experience from a public or private HEC recognized institute/university.
• Assistant Director (Purchase & Store) (BS-17) (01 Post): MBA or M. Com or ACMA or ACCA or M.Sc. (second division) in Economics or equivalent from an HEC recognized institute/university.
• Assistant Director (Quality Enhancement Cell) (BS-17) (01 Post): Master’s degree or BS (four years) (second division) in Social Sciences or Sciences or Management Sciences or equivalent from an HEC recognized institute/university.
• Welder (BS-07) (01 Post): Literate with five years’ experience in the relevant field.
• Bus Driver (BS-04) (01 Post): Secondary School Certificate (second division) or equivalent, valid Heavy Transport Vehicle driving license and Public Service Vehicle driving license, and five years’ experience in the relevant field.
• Driver (LTV) (BS-04) (01 Post): Secondary School Certificate (second division) or equivalent, valid Light Transport Vehicle driving license and Public Service Vehicle driving License, and five years’ experience in the relevant field.
• Helper (Electrician) (BS-01) (01 Post): Literate.

General Instructions

• Foreign degree holders must provide an equivalence certificate issued by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) along with their application form.
• Only degrees from HEC recognized Universities/degree-awarding Institutions will be considered.
• Candidates currently employed in Government, Semi-Government, and Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel.
• Government servants must provide a Departmental Permission Certificate/NOC from the Competent Authority. Applications without this will be rejected.
• If a candidate who applied with an NOC gets selected in another department/institution/university during the selection process, they will need to provide an immediate NOC from the new employer, failing which their application will be rejected.
• Documentary evidence is required for all claimed experience.
• Experience gained in private entities will only be accepted if the entity is registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms, or any other Regulatory Authority.
• Research papers published in HEC recognized journals (JCR and Scopus Index: SCIE, SSCI, AHCI) or as per HJRS policy will be accepted.
• Relaxation in the upper age limit may be granted to suitable candidates as per Government of Punjab rules.
• As per Government of Punjab notification No. SOR-IVI(S&GAD) 15-1/2012 dated 21.05.2012, 15% of total posts are reserved for women.
• As per Government of Punjab, S&GAD (Regulations Wing), notification No. SOR-III (S&GAD) 1-35/93, dated 27.03.2010, a 5% quota is reserved for minorities (non-Muslims) against the total number of advertised posts.
• Quota for disabled persons, minorities, and women will be observed as per rules.
• Applicants aspiring to apply against any quota must submit a separate application clearly mentioning the respective quota.
• Applications from candidates whose results are not officially announced by the Controller of Examination of a Board/University on or before the closing date will not be considered.
• Any incorrect or false information provided by the candidate will lead to disqualification and action under the rules.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews. No TA/DA will be admissible.
• The University is not responsible for delayed or unreceived call letters due to courier/post office/telephonic message issues.
• If 10 or more applications are received for an advertised post, or if required by service rules/statutes, a written/typing/screening test may be conducted. However, test marks will not be included in the initial or final merit list.
• The University reserves the right to increase/decrease or totally withdraw the vacancies without assigning any reason.
