Manager (Cyber Security)

This role requires a strong academic background and significant experience in cyber security.

• Education:
  • Essentials: BE/BS (1st Division) or equivalent from an HEC recognized reputable University.
  • Desirable: MS/MSc (1st Division) or equivalent from an HEC recognized reputable University.
  • Disciplines: Information Security, Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering.
• Experience:
  • 6-7 years of overall post-qualification experience for bachelor’s degree holders.
  • 4 years of overall post-qualification experience for master’s degree holders.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience specifically in cyber security.
• Core Certifications (at least one of):
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Offsec Certified Professional (OSCP)
  • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC)
  • Penetration Tester (GPEN)
  • GIAC Certified Information Handler (GCIH)
• Desirable Certifications: Relevant networking, satellite communications, RF, or vendor-specific security certifications.

Assistant Manager (Cyber Security)

This position is suitable for individuals with foundational experience in the cyber security domain.

• Education:
  • Essentials: BE/BS (1st Division) or equivalent from an HEC recognized reputable University.
  • Disciplines: Information Security, Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in the Cybersecurity domain.
• Core Certifications (at least one of):
  • Offsec Certified Professional (OSCP)
  • Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) Security
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst (CySA)
  • CompTIA PenTest
  • GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN)
• Desirable Certifications: Networking, Linux, Microsoft, firewall, SIEM, satellite communication, or RF-related certifications.

General Conditions and Instructions

1. Only one 2nd division is allowed in the entire educational career. However, the final degree must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0. No 3rd division is allowed in the entire educational career.
2. Candidates who have completed O/A levels must provide equivalent marks (as issued by IBCC) in their online application.
3. The minimum age limit for these posts is 18 years, and the upper age limit is 35 years. The cut-off date for age calculation is the closing date of the application submission. The upper age limit may be relaxed in cases of specialized experience or qualification.
4. Engineers applying for these positions must have valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
5. These vacancies are currently temporary but are likely to be continued for an indefinite period. Decisions regarding appointment on Contributory Pension Fund (CPF) or Provident Fund (PF) basis will be communicated upon finalization of the selection process or respective policy.
6. Meeting the selection criteria does not guarantee short-listing. If a large number of applicants fulfill the selection criteria, only the most suitable candidates with higher grades in their respective degrees and relevant experience will be short-listed for a written test.
7. Candidates already in Government service should apply through the proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent department at the time of the interview. If selected, they will be relieved accordingly.
