The university is looking to fill one position for a Research Associate.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Applicants for the Research Associate position must meet the following criteria:

• Education: M.Sc. (Hons.) in Plant Breeding and Genetics.
• Experience: Project relevant experience will be preferred.
• Other Conditions: No student or any person employed anywhere else can be appointed as Research Associate.

Role and Responsibilities

The selected Research Associate will be responsible for the execution of the PARB funded Project No. 25-038. Key duties include:

• Characterization of wheat genotypes.
• Conducting field research.
• Data collection, compilation, and analysis.
• Report writing.
• Undertaking out-station travelling for multi-location trials.
• Organizing farmer days and training sessions.
• Collaborating with project partners.
• Maintaining accurate records.

Important Instructions

• No TA/DA will be admissible for interviews.
• A merit/waiting list of suitable candidates will be maintained by the selection committee.
• In case the selected candidate does not join, or leaves the project before its completion, the next candidate in order of merit will be offered the position without re-advertisement.
• The waiting list shall remain valid for the duration of the project.
