The Ministry of Energy (Power Division) is looking to fill the following position:

• Procurement & Contract Specialist

Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates applying for the Procurement & Contract Specialist position must meet the following criteria:

Qualification:

1. A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Management Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline from a HEC-recognized University or Foreign institution, duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
2. Additional weightage will be given to candidates possessing procurement-related qualifications, certifications, diplomas, or professional training from reputable local or international institutions.
3. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
4. Proficiency in English & Urdu, both written and spoken.

Experience:

1. Minimum Ten (10) years of professional experience in procurement management of goods, works non-consulting and consulting services, using international / national / sub-national or private sector rules / regulations, after acquiring the stipulated qualification. Prior experience in the power sector will be accorded due weightage.
2. Hands-on experience in the use of any procurement software.
3. Strong knowledge of public procurement regulatory, audit, and assurance procedures in a procurement role will be required.
