KW&SC is looking to fill 02 positions for GIS Analyst. These roles are critical for supporting the modernization of water supply and sewerage services through advanced geospatial systems and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities of a GIS Analyst

The selected GIS Analysts will be responsible for a range of tasks crucial to KW&SC’s operations:

• Maintaining and updating GIS databases for water and sewerage assets, including pipelines, valves, filter plants, manholes, pumping stations, treatment plants, and land assets.
• Preparing maps, drawings, dashboards, and spatial reports for effective planning, maintenance, and emergency response.
• Conducting network and spatial analysis to identify leaks, failures, capacity issues, and service gaps within the water and sewerage systems.
• Providing support to engineering teams in the design and planning of water and sewerage infrastructure.
• Developing web GIS platforms and dashboards using industry-standard software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, and ERDAS Imagine.
• Coordinating field surveys utilizing GPS, drones, and mobile GIS applications.
• Ensuring data quality, compliance with standards, and proper documentation.
• Training internal staff in the effective use of GIS tools and workflows.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Candidates interested in the GIS Analyst position must meet the following criteria:

Education:

• M.Sc. in Geography or MS in Remote Sensing & GIS.

Experience:

• A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in GIS is required.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the utilities, water, wastewater, or infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in asset mapping, spatial database management, and enterprise GIS systems.
• Exposure to donor-funded and public-sector projects will be considered an added advantage.
• Candidates with experience in government projects will also receive preference.

Skills:

• Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD Map, or equivalent software.
• Knowledge of PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle Spatial, or similar databases.
• Experience in developing dashboards, web maps, and mobile GIS tools.
