Eligibility and Qualifications (Amended)

Candidates applying for these teaching positions at Maryam Nawaz Sharif Medical College Mianwali must meet the following amended criteria:

Professor of Obs & Gynae

• Three years’ experience as an Associate Professor of Obs & Gynae (BS-19) in an institution recognized by PMDC.
• Total teaching experience as Assistant Professor (BS-18) and Associate Professor Obs. & Gynae (BS-19) should not be less than eight years.

Professor of Paediatrics

• Three years’ experience as an Associate Professor of Paediatric Medicine (BS-19) is not less than eight years.

Professor of Pathology

• Postgraduate qualification in the subject of Histopathology/Chemical Pathology / Hematology / Microbiology recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission.

Professor of Psychiatry

• 03 years teaching experience as Associate Professor Psychiatry in the institution(s) recognized by PMDC/PMC with at least two research papers published in the standard Medical Journal (duly evaluated in prescribed manner) while working as Associate Professor Psychiatry.
• Provided that the total teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor Psychiatry is not less than 08 years OR 09 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor Psychiatry in a recognized institution(s) with at least 5 research papers published in a standard Medical Journals (duly evaluated in prescribed manner) while working as Assistant / Associate Professor Psychiatry.

Associate Professor Pathology

• MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission.
• Registered with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission.
• Has postgraduate qualification of Ph.D., FCPS, MRC in Histopathology/Chemical Pathology / Hematology / Microbiology, Diplomat American Board, M.Phil or equivalent qualification in the subject of Histopathology / Chemical Pathology / Hematology / Microbiology recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission.
• Qualification must be evaluated in the prescribed manner.

Assistant Professor Pathology

• Has postgraduate qualification of Ph.D., FCPS, MRC in Chemical Pathology / Histopathology / Microbiology / Hematology, Diplomat American Board, M.Phil. or equivalent qualification in the relevant subject recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council / Pakistan Medical Commission.
