Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise shift personnel and operate the complex reliably and efficiently in accordance with O&M guidelines, technical limits, and Approved Operating Procedures.
• Maintain close liaison with NPCC/RCC/NTDC, 132KV Dadyal & Kotli Grid Stations for all necessary activities regarding switching operations and plant status.
• Perform and ensure safe isolation of plant for repair and maintenance work, issuance of PTW to maintenance competent person(s), and normalize and test the plant.
• Advise and provide technical input to shift personnel on safe and efficient operation, especially during restoration of supply after station blackout or system collapse.
• Ensure all test runs on emergency diesel sets & firefighting systems are carried out as per schedule.
• Recommission the plant after annual inspection and overhaul.
• Comply with all technical limits requirements, approved operating procedures, and maintain sound knowledge of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
• Coordinate, supervise, train, and monitor the activities and performance of subordinates.
• Plan and implement On-Job Training (OJT) and improve leadership and technical competencies of shift personnel.
• Compile all shift data (shift logs, IIR, DIR, DAC, RDAC, Aux Energy, Daily Energy, Outages, Hydrology data, check sheets, DDS) properly and confirm correct data is entered into the SDXP & NEPRA Portal.
