About Union Council Immunization Officer (UCIO)

Directorate of Expanded Program on Immunization is hiring for the post of Union Council Immunization Officer (UCIO) (35 posts) in Karachi.

The Union Council Immunization Officer (UCIO) will be responsible for increasing vaccination coverage and supporting polio eradication efforts within assigned union councils in Karachi (General). This is a 1-year contractual position, renewable based on performance and program needs.

Increase vaccination coverage rates in assigned union councils.
Support polio eradication activities and campaigns.
Monitor and evaluate immunization program performance.
Engage with communities to promote vaccination and address concerns.
Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on immunization activities.
Collaborate with local health authorities and community leaders.

Eligibility and requirements

Applicants for Union Council Immunization Officer must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields with 1-2 years of experience in immunization programs.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Promotion, Nursing, Nutrition, Pharmacy (Pharm-D), Physical Therapy (DPT), Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Psychology, or Food Science and Technology. MPH is preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years in EPI, immunization programs, or community-based health interventions. This includes internships, contractual roles, organized outreach, field surveys, and health agent experience.
Skills: Strong understanding of EPI/polio eradication, performance review, communication, data analysis, computer literacy, and local language proficiency.
Domicile: Relevant district/division domicile required.
