Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

1. Treasurer (BPS-20) (Regular)

Applicants for the Treasurer position must meet the following criteria:

• Qualification: First division B.S/Master (16-years education) or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or be a Chartered Accountant from a University/DAI recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.
• Experience: 17 years’ experience for 16 years of education, 15 years’ experience for 18-years of education, and 13 years’ experience for Ph.D. holders, specifically in accounts, finance & audit, or financial management within a University, Government Department, or an Autonomous Statutory Organization in pay scale 17 (or equivalent) and above.

2. Associate Professor (BPS-20) (Regular)

Candidates for Associate Professor must fulfill one of the following sets of requirements:

• Option 1:
  • Qualification: Ph.D. degree in a relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
  • Experience: 10-Years teaching/research experience in a recognized Institution/College/University OR 10-years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization, with at least 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Publications: Must have 10 research publications, with at least 4 published in HEC/PEC recognized journals within the last five years.
• Option 2:
  • Experience: 05-years post Ph.D. teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution OR professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
  • Publications: Must have 10 research publications, with at least 4 published in HEC/PEC recognized journals within the last five years.
• Specific Note: PEC Registration card in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory for applicants applying in Mechanical Engineering, and a PEC Registration card in Civil Engineering is mandatory for applicants applying in Civil Engineering.

3. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) (Regular)

Applicants for Assistant Professor (Regular) must meet these requirements:

• Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
• Specific Note: PEC Registration card in Computer Science is mandatory for applicants applying in Computer Software Engineering.

4. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) (Three Years’ Contract Basis)

Candidates for Assistant Professor (Contract Basis) must meet these requirements:

• Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
• Appointment Term: The appointment will initially be for Six (06) months, extendable up to a maximum of three (03) years, or until a regular employee is appointed to the same sanctioned post, whichever is earlier.

Application Fee Details

The application fee is non-refundable and varies by post:

• Rs. 10,000/- for Sr. No. 1 (Treasurer) and Sr. No. 2 (Associate Professor).
• Rs. 5,000/- for Sr. No. 3 (Assistant Professor – Regular).
• Rs. 4,000/- for Sr. No. 4 (Assistant Professor – Contract Basis).

Important Instructions and Terms & Conditions

• Only qualifications and experience supported by documentary proof submitted by the last date of application will be considered.
• Applicants are strictly advised to attach only valid and authentic documents. Any ambiguous, fake, or forged documents will lead to rejection and potential legal action.
• Candidates holding foreign degrees/certificates must provide an Equivalency Certificate from the Higher Education Commission (HEC)/Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Islamabad, before the closing date.
• Degrees, diplomas, or certificates in languages other than English must be accompanied by an officially verified English translation.
• Applicants must submit an official percentage certificate if transcripts/DMCs do not explicitly mention percentage marks.
• Experience will only be counted if supported by an Experience Certificate duly issued by the HR/Establishment Section or equivalent department/section of the concerned University/Institution.
• Authentic copies of all academic transcripts, degrees, certificates, experience certificates, CNIC, and a recent passport-size photograph must be attached to the application. Original documents will be required at the time of interview.
• Only eligible shortlisted applicants will be called for demonstration/interview.
• The University reserves the right to withhold the appointment, reject applications without assigning any reason, or cancel/postpone/increase/decrease the advertised positions.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the Demonstration and interview.

Note for Previous Applicants

Candidates who have already applied for the same post(s) in response to Advertisement No. 05/2026 (for faculty positions) or the advertisement dated 06.01.2026 (for the post of Treasurer) must submit a fresh application form. They should include all required documents and documentary evidence of their earlier application to the Office of the Registrar, UET Mardan. However, they are not required to deposit the University processing fee again.
