Social Safeguard Specialist / Consultant - (PPS-8/9)

The Social Safeguard Specialist / Consultant will focus on ensuring social safeguards within the 'Action to Strength Performance for Inclusive Education (ASPIRE)' project. This role involves community engagement, managing social risks, and implementing grievance redress mechanisms.

• Engage with communities and facilitate local-actor empowerment initiatives.
• Plan, implement, and manage grievance redress processes effectively.
• Apply strong knowledge of social safeguard risks and procedures relevant to government and donor-funded projects.
• Work effectively in multi-sectoral and community-based environments.
• Demonstrate strong planning, organization, management, reporting, and coordination abilities.
• Build and maintain effective teamwork and stakeholder relationships.

Applicants for the Social Safeguard Specialist / Consultant position must hold a Master's degree (16 years of education) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably 8+ years.

• Education: Master's degree or equivalent (sixteen (16) years of education) in International Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences, and other related disciplines, from a foreign or local university duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
• Additional Qualification (Preferable): Diplomas and trainings in International Development/Public Policy/Social Sciences.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years (8+ preferred) post-qualification experience in community Engagement, Planning, Implementation and Management of local-actor empowerment, and grievance redress.
• Skills & Knowledge: Strong knowledge of social safeguard risks and procedures for government and donor-funded projects, ideally multi-sectoral and community-based. Strong planning, organization, management, reporting and coordination abilities; teamwork and stakeholder relationship building; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with tact under challenging situations.
