Foundational Learning Specialist / Consultant - (PPS-8/9)

The Foundational Learning Specialist / Consultant will be instrumental in strengthening performance for inclusive education, specifically focusing on foundational learning and early grades education. This role involves contributing to the implementation of educational programs and providing expert guidance.

• Implement educational programs, ideally in school monitoring or teacher training/mentoring.
• Apply knowledge of ECCE & FL Policy 2024, early grade Literacy, numeracy, and socio-emotional teaching approaches.
• Utilize formative assessment techniques to support teachers effectively.
• Conduct data analysis and reporting to inform program improvements.
• Provide strong communication and guidance to teachers and head teachers.
• Promote knowledge of children's rights and foster healthy learning environments.
• Demonstrate strong planning, organization, management, reporting, and coordination abilities.
• Foster teamwork and effective stakeholder relationship building.

Applicants for the Foundational Learning Specialist / Consultant position must hold a Master's degree (16 years of education) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably 8+ years.

• Education: Master's Degree or equivalent (sixteen (16) years of Education) in International Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or other related disciplines, from a foreign or local University duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
• Additional Qualification (Preferable): Diplomas and trainings in International Development/Public Policy/ECCE and Foundational Learning/Early grades Education (Literacy, Numeracy & Socio Emotional).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years (8+ preferred) post-qualification experience in implementing Educational Programs, ideally in School Monitoring or Teacher Training/Mentoring. Foundational Literacy and numeracy experience is an advantage.
• Skills & Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the ECCE & FL Policy 2024, early grade Literacy, numeracy and socio-emotional teaching approaches, and formative assessment used to support teachers. Data analysis and reporting proficiency, strong communication skills to guide teachers and head teachers, knowledge of children's rights and healthy learning environments. Strong planning, organization, management, reporting and coordination abilities; teamwork and stakeholder relationship building; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with tact under challenging situations.
