About Sergeant Major
Gilgit Baltistan Police is hiring for the post of Sergeant Major in Gilgit.
The Sergeant Major will serve in the Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) of Gilgit Baltistan Police on a two-year contract. This role involves leadership and operational duties within specialized counter-terrorism operations.
- Lead and supervise tactical teams in various operations.
- Implement and enforce operational protocols and procedures.
- Provide expertise in specialized areas such as sniping, explosives, or counter-IED measures.
- Assist in training and development of junior personnel.
Requirements for Sergeant Major
Applicants for Sergeant Major must be retired SSG Commandos or former military personnel, meeting the specified age limit and eligibility criteria.
- Eligibility: Retired SSG Commando / Ex-Military Personnel
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years
- Contract Duration: 2 years (non-extendable)
- Skills (Preferred): Precision Engagement, Advanced Explosives & Breaching, Tactical Instruction (CQB, Explosives, Sniper), Counter-IED Operations, Mountain Warfare & High-Altitude Operations, Close Quarter Battle, Tactical Operations Command.
