Requirements for Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) and Forecasting Expert
Candidates for Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) and Forecasting Expert should hold a Master's degree in meteorology or a related scientific field, coupled with significant experience in operational NWP and weather forecasting.
- Education: Masters in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, NWP, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Environmental Sciences or related discipline.
- Experience: 8 years in operational NWP / weather forecasting, including ensemble, verification and HPC-supported workflows; two comparable assignments.
